A Sendmarc alternative with a published per-domain price and pre-send testing in the same account

Sendmarc is a DMARC management platform that hosts your authentication records by delegation and walks domains to p=reject, sold direct and through MSPs. It publishes no prices: every paid tier is quote-only, and the free tier, Free Basic Reporting, covers 1 domain, 5k emails and 21 days of history. Unspam reads DMARC aggregate reports on its Custom plan at $6 per domain per month, first domain included, and tells you when a domain is ready for quarantine or reject. The two meet on aggregate reports and sending sources; Sendmarc goes further into hosted records, failure reports, MTA-STS and managed services, while Unspam adds pre-send email testing.

Which one fits you?

choose Unspam if
  • You want a price you can read before you talk to sales: $6 per domain per month, first domain included, bought online with a $5 monthly minimum
  • You need more than one domain or more than 21 days of history without a quote, since Sendmarc's free tier stops at 1 domain, 5k emails and 21 days
  • You want each reporting IP grouped into a named sending source with a plain explanation of why it fails and how to fix it, plus a per-domain check on whether you can move to quarantine or reject
  • You also test campaigns before they send: spam score, seed-list inbox placement across 7 mailbox providers and client previews, in the same account
choose Sendmarc if
  • You want your records hosted: Sendmarc hosts DMARC by CNAME, SPF by redirect with SPF flattening, DKIM by NS delegation, and MTA-STS with TLS-RPT reporting on paid tiers, so policy changes happen in its portal
  • You need failure (RUF) reports, email alerts on compliance and DNS changes, blocklist reporting over your sending IPs, SSO and audit logs, none of which Unspam offers
  • You want someone to do the work, or you resell it: Sendmarc offers managed implementation, an enterprise project and CAB approval track, and a multi-tenant, co-branded MSP platform with PSA integrations

Why teams move from Sendmarc to Unspam.

01

A price on the page instead of a quote

Sendmarc publishes no price for any paid tier, and its free tier caps you at 1 domain, 5k emails and 21 days of history. Unspam's DMARC monitoring costs $6 per domain per month on the Custom plan, the first domain is included, and you can buy it online and size it yourself up to 500 domains.

02

Reports that say what to fix

Unspam groups reporting IPs into named sending sources (email service provider, own infrastructure, forwarder or suspected spoofing), marks each as compliant, partially failing, failing or unauthorized, and explains why a failing source fails. A per-domain readiness check lists what still blocks p=quarantine or p=reject.

03

Testing before the send, in the same account

Sendmarc's Email Delivery Checker reads one message you send it; it has no seed-list inbox placement. Unspam runs spam score tests, inbox placement across Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Zoho, ProtonMail, AOL and GMX, and client previews, priced per test, next to your DMARC reports.

What each one costs.

Sendmarc's pricing page shows no price, currency or billing period: every paid tier says Get a quote. The paid columns list the same features, so the page does not separate Premium, Compliance and Enterprise by feature. Its Terms of Service say subscriptions renew automatically and fees can rise with CPI after the initial term on 30 days' notice.

Unspam vs Sendmarc, answered.

Is Unspam a replacement for Sendmarc?
For reading aggregate reports and getting to enforcement, often yes: Unspam's DMARC monitoring names your sending sources and checks whether each domain is ready for quarantine or reject. It is not a replacement if you rely on Sendmarc to host your DMARC, SPF and DKIM records, flatten SPF, process failure reports, host MTA-STS or run a managed rollout. Unspam does none of those.
What does Sendmarc do that Unspam doesn't?
Quite a lot on the authentication side. Sendmarc hosts DMARC, SPF (with flattening) and DKIM by delegation, processes failure reports, hosts MTA-STS and reports on TLS, sends email alerts on compliance and DNS changes, and offers managed services and a co-branded MSP platform. Unspam reads aggregate reports only, has no alerts, and sends a weekly summary every Monday instead. What Unspam adds is pre-send testing: spam score, inbox placement and client previews.
How do the prices compare?
Sendmarc publishes no paid prices, so a like-for-like figure needs a quote. Its free tier covers 1 domain, 5k emails and 21 days of history. On Unspam, DMARC monitoring is $6 per domain per month with the first domain included and a $5 monthly minimum: for 3 domains that is $12/mo ($6 x 2), for 10 domains $54/mo ($6 x 9), with 15% off annual billing. See pricing.
How do I switch from Sendmarc, or run both?
If Sendmarc hosts your DMARC record through a CNAME, you will need to publish your own record again before you leave; the DMARC record generator can build one. To run both, list two rua addresses in the record. Some receivers honor only the first two, so keep Unspam's among them. Unspam can also add its reporting address to your existing record without changing your policy, and first reports usually arrive 24 to 48 hours after verification.

Add your first domain free and read your first reports in about two days.
