A DMARC Report alternative priced per domain, with pre-send testing in the same account

DMARC Report is DuoCircle's DMARC reporting service: it reads aggregate and failure reports, hosts DMARC and MTA-STS records on paid plans, and sends alerts, with a free Core plan for one domain and paid tiers from $25/mo. Unspam reads aggregate reports on its Custom plan at $6 per domain per month (first domain included), groups the traffic into named sending sources, and tells you what stands between each domain and p=reject. The two meet on aggregate reporting and source identification. They differ in scope: DMARC Report adds hosted records, failure reports and managed enforcement, while Unspam adds spam tests, inbox placement and previews in the same account.

Which one fits you?

choose Unspam if
  • You want a price that grows by one domain at a time: $6 per domain per month after the first, up to 500 domains, instead of bundles of 5, 10 and 25 domains
  • You want each sending source explained: why its mail fails DMARC and how to fix it, plus a per-domain check of what still blocks p=quarantine or p=reject
  • You want an API and an MCP server without a $75/mo plan: both come with Unspam's Custom plan, which has a $5 monthly minimum
  • You also test campaigns before sending: spam score, seed-list inbox placement across 7 providers, and client previews sit in the same account
choose DMARC Report if
  • You want DMARC reporting at no cost: the Core plan covers 1 domain and 10,000 messages a month, free, while Unspam's DMARC monitoring starts at the $5 Custom minimum
  • You need more than aggregate reports: failure reports from Guard, hosted DMARC on paid plans, and hosted MTA-STS with TLS-RPT plus email, webhook and Slack alerts from Shield
  • You want someone else to run enforcement: the Ultimate plan assigns a DMARC engineer and guarantees p=quarantine at pct=100 within 90 days, and an MSP program offers white-label plans

Why teams move from DMARC Report to Unspam.

01

Pay for the domains you have

DMARC Report sells bundles: Guard covers 5 domains for $25/mo, Shield 10 for $75/mo, Defender 25 for $200/mo, each with a monthly message cap. Unspam charges $6 per domain per month after the first, so 3 domains cost $12/mo and 10 cost $54/mo, up to 500 domains in one account.

02

Sources explained, readiness checked

Unspam groups reported IPs into named sending sources (email service providers, your own infrastructure, forwarders, suspected spoofing) and marks each compliant, partially failing, failing or unauthorized. Opening one explains why its mail fails and how to fix it, and a per-domain readiness check lists what still blocks p=quarantine or p=reject.

03

Testing in the same account

DMARC Report checks authentication on mail sent to a test address. Unspam tests the message itself before you send it: spam score, seed-list inbox placement across Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Zoho, ProtonMail, AOL and GMX, and client previews, priced per test, with a free plan that includes 5 spam tests and 3 inbox placements a month.

Unspam vs DMARC Report, answered.

Is Unspam a replacement for DMARC Report?
For aggregate reporting, yes. Unspam's DMARC monitoring reads RUA reports, names your sending sources and tells you when a domain is ready for p=quarantine or p=reject. It does not read failure reports, host DMARC or MTA-STS records, or send alerts, and it has no managed enforcement service. If you rely on those, DMARC Report covers more.
What does DMARC Report do that Unspam doesn't?
It reads failure (RUF) reports from the Guard plan, hosts your DMARC record on paid plans, hosts an MTA-STS policy with TLS-RPT monitoring from Shield, and sends email, webhook and Slack alerts when authentication drops or a new sender appears. It also sells done-for-you enforcement with a dedicated engineer, and white-label plans for MSPs. Unspam has none of these, and offers pre-send inbox placement and spam testing that DMARC Report does not.
How do the prices compare?
For 1 domain under 10,000 messages a month, DMARC Report's Core plan is free and Unspam is $5/mo (the Custom minimum). For 3 domains, Unspam is $12/mo ($6 x 2 after the free first domain); DMARC Report needs Guard at $25/mo. For 10 domains, Unspam is $54/mo ($6 x 9); DMARC Report's Shield is $75/mo. Annual billing takes 15% off Unspam and 17% off DMARC Report. See Unspam pricing.
How do I switch, or run both?
Add Unspam's reporting address to your existing DMARC record; Unspam can generate the change and leaves your policy as it is. A record can list two rua addresses, so DMARC Report keeps receiving reports while you compare. Some receivers honor only the first two addresses, so keep Unspam's among them. First reports usually arrive 24 to 48 hours after verification.

Add your first domain free and read your first reports in about two days.
