A DMARC Digests alternative that names your sending sources, at $6 per domain

DMARC Digests is the paid DMARC product from the team behind Postmark (ActiveCampaign), and Postmark's free DMARC monitoring tool is its free tier: a weekly email digest with 7 days of history. The paid dashboard costs $14 per domain per month and keeps 60 days of history. Unspam reads aggregate reports on its Custom plan at $6 per domain per month (first domain included), names each sending source, and checks whether a domain is ready for p=quarantine or p=reject. Both read aggregate reports only and host no records; they differ on price, source identification, API access and pre-send testing.

Which one fits you?

choose Unspam if
  • You want a lower per-domain price: $6 per domain per month with the first domain included, so 3 domains cost $12/mo against $42/mo on DMARC Digests
  • You want sources identified for you: DMARC Digests marks IPs known or unknown and leaves you to research which service owns them, while Unspam names and categorizes each source and explains why its mail fails
  • You need an API on the paid tier: DMARC Digests has no API or export, while Unspam includes a REST API and an MCP server on its Custom plan
  • You also test campaigns before sending: spam score, seed-list inbox placement and client previews in the same account
choose DMARC Digests if
  • You want DMARC reports at no cost: Postmark's free tool emails a weekly digest of your top 10 mail sources, while Unspam's DMARC monitoring starts at the $5 Custom minimum
  • You want a plain digest product: weekly and monthly email summaries plus a dashboard with viewer and admin roles for your team
  • You manage more than 500 domains: DMARC Digests sets no limit on domains or on messages per domain, while one Unspam account holds up to 500 domains

Why teams move from DMARC Digests to Unspam.

01

Less per domain

DMARC Digests charges $14 per domain per month, billed monthly only. Unspam charges $6 per domain per month with the first domain included and a $5 monthly minimum, so 3 domains cost $12/mo instead of $42/mo, 10 cost $54/mo instead of $140/mo, and annual billing takes another 15% off.

02

Sources named, not just known or unknown

DMARC Digests sorts IPs into known, unknown and forwarded, and its help centre says you research which service an IP belongs to yourself. Unspam groups reported IPs into named sending sources (email service providers, your own infrastructure, forwarders, suspected spoofing), marks each compliant, partially failing, failing or unauthorized, and explains how to fix the ones that fail.

03

A readiness check, an API and pre-send tests

Where DMARC Digests offers policy recommendations, Unspam checks each domain for p=quarantine or p=reject and lists what stands in the way. Its Custom plan adds a REST API and an MCP server, which the paid DMARC Digests plan lacks, and the same account runs spam tests, inbox placement and client previews.

Unspam vs DMARC Digests, answered.

Is Unspam a replacement for DMARC Digests?
For most of what DMARC Digests does, yes. Both read aggregate reports only, and neither reads failure reports or hosts DNS records. Unspam's DMARC monitoring adds named sending sources, a per-domain enforcement readiness check, an API and an MCP server. DMARC Digests is the better fit if you want a free weekly digest, monthly digests and team roles, or have more than 500 domains.
Is DMARC Digests the same as Postmark's free DMARC tool?
They are one product family from the same team. Postmark's free DMARC monitoring tool (dmarc.postmarkapp.com) emails a weekly digest of your top 10 mail sources with 7 days of history and has no dashboard. DMARC Digests is the paid version at $14 per domain per month: all sources, 60 days of history, a web dashboard, team roles and monthly digests. One difference runs the other way: the free tool has a REST API and the paid product does not.
How do the prices compare?
For 1 domain, Unspam is $5/mo (the Custom minimum), DMARC Digests is $14/mo, and Postmark's free tool is $0. For 3 domains, Unspam is $12/mo ($6 x 2 after the free first domain); DMARC Digests is $42/mo ($14 x 3). For 10 domains, Unspam is $54/mo and DMARC Digests is $140/mo. DMARC Digests bills monthly only; Unspam takes 15% off annual billing. See Unspam pricing.
How do I switch, or run both?
Add Unspam's reporting address to your existing DMARC record; Unspam can generate the change and leaves your policy as it is. A record can list two rua addresses, so DMARC Digests keeps receiving reports while you compare. Some receivers honor only the first two addresses, so keep Unspam's among them. First reports usually arrive 24 to 48 hours after verification.

Add your first domain free and read your first reports in about two days.
